I am closer to my goals & vision after working with Jordan for the past year. For the last handful of years, I've struggled to execute on my vision of starting a business and my goal of increasing my day-to-day productivity. Working with Jordan changed all that. Jordan's coaching transcends generic advice to bring the qualities of your higher self to light, even if you have yet to identify those qualities. Today, I manage my energy more effectively through techniques of the breath and easily-implemented tools that Jordan exposed me to through his training in psychology and performance training. I strongly recommend Jordan's programs to professionals, business owners, and athletes seeking to break free of prior limits.
I grew up on a farm in Nebraska, wrestled in college, coached wrestling, guided whitewater, built a business with my wife, and I'm raising three kids with a fourth on the way. Each of those shaped how I lead and show up for my clients.
Growing up on a farm, you unconsciously soak in the rhythm of plant, nurture, reap. You learn to work through long seasons of uncertainty and trust that the harvest is coming. Wrestling in college showed me what pushing my limits really meant and how much mental toughness it takes to keep going. Coaching wrestling taught me not to project my own story onto someone else. Meet them where they are with compassion, then call them forward to reach their potential.
On the river I learned I was made for discomfort. With patience, resilience and the right mentors, I guided some of the gnarliest whitewater in North America, and I found out I could accomplish far more than I thought was possible.
This is also where I met Annie. We went from working at the rafting outpost, traveling in the off-season and living in a camper, to building True Spruce together, starting with a borrowed broom, a mop and a Craigslist ad. It grew into one of Steamboat Springs' leading vacation rental service companies, and it didn't just survive March 2020, when every vacation rental in Steamboat was shut down (anyone remember that?!). It thrived.
In 2022 we closed True Spruce and moved to Hawaii with our two-year-old twins. That year of self-discovery became a calling to coach, and I spent the next year being mentored and trained by Alyssa Nobriga, one of the best coaches in the world.
Since then I've coached founders, executives, athletes and nonprofit leaders. That ranges from an MMA fighter preparing for the cage, to a rider training a wild mustang, to an entrepreneur who bought an insurance agency. With him, I served as the internal coach while the book of business grew from $3 million to over $15 million in less than three years. I've also helped a nonprofit open two new recovery homes in under 18 months.
I love holding myself and my clients to unreasonable standards. Not because there's something to prove, but because I believe there is unfathomable greatness in each of us. The world wants us to conform to comfort, but greatness is unreasonable, even delusional, and working with people like that brings me joy.
I'm a certified Mastery Method coach (ICF-accredited) and an XPT (Extreme Performance Training) performance breathing coach. Annie and I live in Fort Collins with Pax, Esme and Hana, where we do all the Colorado things. I'm obsessed with wrestling, I serve on the board of a local nonprofit for people in recovery, and I help lead a men's group at my church.
If you’ve been told you’re unreasonable and you want a guide who will call you forward, let’s talk.
